Extra High Voltage LRP “Outlaw” LiPo Batteries

There is a new breed of LiPo batteries hitting the market that are higher voltage than the standard cells we’ve been using for years. LRP has jumped on this trend with their new Outlaw hard case packs. The Outlaws are not legal at sanctioned racing events, but that means absolutely nothing to the bashing crowd.

LRP has announced two Outlaw packs, a 2S 4900 shorty ($89), and a 2S 8000 ($119). Both packs have a “nominal voltage” of 7.6 volts and can be charged to 8.7 (normal 2S packs have a peak voltage of 8.4). Want more details? If so, Here Is The Link you want over on LRP America’s website.
