The new guy here. I just wanted to say your videos are awesome. Great job ! These events look like an absolute blast. The small town where I live does Not have these options. I'm attempting to get something going. So few people though ! Anyone here ever hear of Indian Beach ? Thats where I'm from ...

Hey man, thanks for the nice words. I have not heard of Indian Beach. Is that near the Indiana Dunes?

The small town stuff can be rough, but I know a few bashers in Indiana, so just keep trying. Most of these events (which are getting bigger all the time) started off with 2 or 3 friends getting together to bash. Then they tell someone else 'yea.. were going this weekend, you should stop by!' then it just sort of snowballs. Don't get discouraged when it's a small turnout. The small 5 person bashes are just as fun (and a LOT easier to deal with) then the big ones. When you have 30+ people and 60+ cars it's tought to keep everyone honest, and using the frequency boards.

Good luck!
Brian

Thanks Brian. Indiana Beach is actually about 60 miles south of the dunes. We have 2 lakes here & attract alot of people from all over. I've been working on T-Maxxes for about 4 yrs now. I've about given up on the get togethers. In a town of 5,000 it's more than hard. I about to say it's impossible. I've had up to 10 people. Bad thing is " some get married & have to quit ", " some move away & they are gone ", " some run out of cash & they are out of the hobby ". I've just about seen it all in 4 yrs. & just keep doing my own thing. I'm back to 3 people & they are new so who knows what will happen next. Now that I am here & can keep up on what is going on there. Hopefully I can come up there & join in on the fun one of these times. These look like great events & definitely looks like something I would enjoy !

You are down there by Monticello. Fun little "Beach" there. It's been a few years since I have been there.

It really is a nice place to have a good time. I've lived here forever & haven't even been inside in 2 yrs. I'll go support them for there 80th. this year. I've watched it grow for over 30 yrs., so it's not a big thing for the locals. Cool that someone has been here before though !!

If anyone else is curious about where he is talking about, remember the commercial with the cartoon crows, showing all the carnival rides... "There's more than corn in Indiana"....

Just thought I would bring this back to life. Now that I have a face or maybe even more to go with these screennames. I will be adding some videos here soon myself. We were at I-Hobby Expo this past several days. It was a very good thing for us & if you were there. We were Innovative Hobby Products. We were there with our MCD line of vehicles. They are 1/5 scale 4 wheel drive racing machines. Thanks Brian for the shots on the front page of our Brushless Prototype model. This is very new technology, with some crazy futures !! Lots of coverage to come on the show ! Everyone from the public we met were great. RCDriver magazine & their crew ROCK ! Lets re-introduce ourselves, If I met you PM me & tell me who & when ? Met & talked to thousands of people !!!
