I guess theres not many people here who own an Aftershock...but i'll start a thread for it anyway. I'll be getting one soon..about 3 months...cant wait!  so..if you own one,post about it.

The aftershock is a good truck. It's basically a LST (First gen) with a single speed trans. Is there a reason you are going with the Aftershock over the LST2? I ask, because from experience with the LST and LST2, the suspension and drivetrain on the LST2 is MUCH stronger. The aftershock has all the same suspension and drivetrain as the LST. The durability of these components is what made me change from the LST. About a year later, I picked up a LST2 after seeing the changes made, and it was worth every penny.
If cost is an issue, take into account, the cost of replacement arms, CVD axles, and shafts, and Diff cases... over a few months, it will pretty much equal out in cost.
In my opinion, from experience with both, the LST2 is a better buy even at the slightly higher cost.

Yes, cost is the issue...i'm only 16 and i dont have a job yet. i've been working in the yard and mowing lawns for 2 months now and i've made $200. i'll have the aftershock in june,sooner than i thought. i'd have it NOW if my parents whould just GIVE me the money...but i guess working for it builds character or somthing...  hopefully i get a real job this summer to help get hop-ups to change it to a more LST2 type truck. and yes i do like working on my car just as much as driving it,so its no problem to buy the LST2 upgrade kit.

nothing wrong with that. thats why this is a hobby. im shocked at how many people drop off there trucks at the lhs to get "tuned up" because it is not going as fast as it did. or need to have an a-arm replaced.

Makes sense... When you do upgrade, rather than buy a piece here and there, it will be better to save a little, and just get the upgrade kit at this link... http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0014 It wll end up costing less, and will give you all you really need to get the durability. The rims do not come with tires, but you can use either the Losi 420 size tires, or most 40 series tires will fit the rims.

I've made $220 bucks as of NOW. I've also just got a coupon from amain hobbies for $25 off becuase i signed up for thier newsletter. when i joined and made an account they gave me $50 off of of the aftershock. now i have $75 off total! i only need $70 before i can buy it! sooner than three months now! i'm guessing i'll have it by late May. this trucks gonna redeem my dieing rc interest for sure!
P.S. Brian, i sent some pics of my losi micro desertruck i got some months ago...i'm guessing your a busy man and just havnt uploaded it..or you just never got it..please reply..i really want to enter the contest soon!(i also noticed the OTHER micro desert truck in the fans pics)
