Hello all
I live in Tinley Park Illinois located about a half hour outside of Chicago. I am a busy husband and father of three awesome kids. I also attend school full time in addition to working full time. When I do get some free time I enjoy bass fishing or RC cars. I currently run a XXX NT and a few vintage vehicles. I have a RC 10 and JRX2 that I run around the yard. I also have a Topcat from when they originally came out. That doesn't get out much as parts were difficult to come by then and they haven't gotten any easier (my driving hasn't gotten any better also).
I am working with the local Parks and Recreation director to try and get a public RC park built. So far he seems very receptive to it. I will keep you posted as to how that goes.

welcome tc!! are you on the chitown site as well? if not then there is another tinley park resident trying to get a track built. lol

I am guilty as charged. The kids and I stumbled on a little BMX track by the house that we can't wait to use when the weather gets a bit nicer.
The last email I got from the park district director seemed positive.

Vogt Woods Park... I tried to upload a picture from yahoo maps but I couldn't figure it out. It is a few blocks east of Oak Park Ave on 171st street. After it turns into Forestview Drive it will be immediately on the east side of the street.
