1.9″ RTR Scale Crawler Shootout – Features
1.9″ RTR Scale Crawler Shootout – Features
Oh yes, here we are at the features part of the shootout. We’ve held the feature category in every truck shootout that we’ve done, and for good reason, consumers love getting all those cool extra features on their new rigs. For the terms of our judging, we asked all five of our test drivers to rank the trucks from the one with the most features, to the one with the least. And more importantly, features isn’t about how many total, but more so about how the features of each truck suited our test pilots. For example, some of our drivers could care less about having cruise control, but cared more about having high quality tires, or a nicely done bumper, or a slew of accessories, etc.

Notes-
Yes indeed, the Traxxas TRX-4 was truly unstoppable in this category. With cruise control, a 2 speed transmission, remote locking diffs, and a slew of scale accessories, the Traxxas was simply not to be denied. In second spot came the RC4WD. While it doesn’t have a bunch of scale accessories on the roof or bolted to the bed, it sports higher-end metal parts from nose to tail to go along with all its other features. In third was the Redcat. We were fans of simple pop-up body with prop rod and of all its scale accessories. Fourth through sixth were the HPI, Vaterra, and Axial. While all three trucks sport some highly wanted features, they simply didn’t have as many as the trucks that placed higher.
Who are we kidding, scale is all about the Looks.
