2021 Southern Scale Trail Event Breaks Records in the UK
Over in Somerset, UK, the 2021 running of the Southern Scale Trail Event For Charity happened last weekend. Despite Covid-19, the 2021 SST had a huge turnout with over 600 drivers in attendance. This enormous figure makes the SST the largest rc event held in the UK this year! Such a large turnout shows that not only is scale crawling very popular in the UK, but also that people love attending the SST.
As a result of the huge turnout, and of the people’s generosity in attendance, the event raised £4500 for charity in two days! The beneficiary from this year’s SST event was a school, Ditchfield Primary School, where the funds will go to help the local children.
As far as the driving went, the SST featured a festival vibe for those in attendance, as well as mostly clear skies. This allowed everyone plenty of time out on the trail, and they would need it to finish over 650 different gates, located in 4 different sectors. On the bashing side of things, there was a full bashing area set up for the guys looking to catch mega-air.
In closing, the crew over at the SST would like to thank everyone that came out to the event this year, as well as their very generous sponsors.
