ASK Cubby – Where Was I Last Week?
“Geez
What’s up Cubby, where the hell were you last week?
Grayson M.”
Cubby- Yo Grayson, shoot me your snail mail for a sticker pack.
Oh and, I guess “thanks” for the great concern about where “ASK Cubby” was last week. For an answer, ASK Cubby has been really consistent, at least for the last 5 years or so. I doubt that I’ve missed one in five years or so. Last week several BSRC crew members were out of town for a funeral, and at a time like that, ASK Cubby was the very last thing on any of our minds, although we are very thankfully that at least one person noticed it was missing. LOL
“Big Squid Track Build
I’m located in Michigan and wanting to build an off-road track. I was thinking about 2200 sq feet of track.
What’s the normal size for offroad?
Thanks,
Dwayne A.”
Cubby- Hey ya there Dwayne, thanks for writing in. Shoot us your snail mail so we can hook you up with a sticker pack.
So… you are wanting to build an off-road track in Michigan. If the track is outdoors, a size of 100′ x 60′ would be pretty standard and a nice compromise for 1/10 and 1/8. If you run only 1/8 or 1/5, going a bit larger would be good, like something in the 150 x 100 range.
If your track is going indoors, 60′ x 40′ would be a fairly common size. I’ve seen small indoor tracks as small as 20′ x 10′ and as big as 200 x 150. The size of an indoor track is dictated by the size of the venue and of the scale of the cars being run.
