Avem 270 “5th Motor” FPV Racing Drone from AvemRC

The FPV racing scene is chock full of innovation. With races coming down to split second differences, everyone is looking to get that extra little advantage against their competition. Enter: The Avem270 Racing Quadcopter from Avem RC. What makes this one different? A motor mount on the rear of the frame for a fifth, horizontal motor meant specifically to increase thrust. Cool!

I am very excited to build, test and review the Avem270. This frame was built by a high school sophomore by the name of Jared Bachman during his freshman summer break. Talk about staying busy over summer vacation! The fit and finish on the frame looks top notch and I will be reviewing this drone very soon, so stay tuned for more info. Will the fifth motor give me the leg up? Only one way to find out!
