BSRC Top 3- Small Scale RC Picks For The Holidays

This year, several members of the BigSquidRC Bash Crew are writing up top 3 lists for the holidays. As Brian walked around the office, he came to me to write up the “Top 3 Small Scaled RC Vehicles For Under Your Christmas Tree”. Small scaled rc vehicles, those 1/14th scale and smaller, are great for indoor driving, and are known for being light on the wallet. With years of small scale experience behind me, these are the top 3 small scaled vehicles that I am recommending for the Holidays this year.

3. 1/14 Losi Mini 8IGHT-T ($279)– The formidable Losi Mini EIGHT-T is a beast among “small scalers”. Its larger size helps it go over obstacles that smaller trucks can’t. The Mini EIGHT-T is also very well known for its straight up performance. Out of the box, it has a very powerful brushless system that gives it serious speed and power. Mated to a durable 4wd driveline, the Mini EIGHT-T can do crazy stunts and catch massive airtime.

2. 1/16 Traxxas Mini E-Revo VXL ($249) The VXL powered 1/16 E-Revo just might be the best small scale backyard basher of all time. The 1/16 E-Revo has massive power mated to a durable 4wd system. With insane power and suspension tuned to handle giant landings, it is almost impossible to not have fun with a 1/16 E-Revo.

1. 1/18 Losi Mini-T 2.0 ($139)– At the top of my list this year is the Losi Mini-T 2.0. The 2.0 version of the Mini-T is all new and has been hitting hobby shops for a few weeks. Small enough for man-cave racing, yet large enough to handle mild off-road outdoors, the Mini-T 2.0 is incredibly versatile. Also, this version of the 2.0 comes as a RTR with a brushed motor, perfect for first time drivers.
