Castle Creations & Pro-Line Sponsor This Weekend’s Dirt Jumping Championships
We want to give all of you a cordial invite and a final reminder that the BigSquidRC Dirt Jumping Championships are ready to go off this Sunday in Fenton Missouri. The Dirt Jumping Championships are presented in partnership with the St Louis RC Freaks Club and are sponsored by Castle Creations and Pro-Line Racing. Where as some of our previous jump contests have been held on pavement for maximum speeds, the event this weekend is all dirt- a dirt run-up to a HUGE dirt ramp to a dirt landing. For those of you making the long trek to St Louis to compete, here is some information that will come in handy.
* There is no AC power at the venue, come prepared to charge off DC
* Dozens of picnic tables are located all over the venue for pit spaces
* There are lots of trees at the venue for plenty of shade
* Weather is predicted to be partly cloudy with a high of 85 degrees at the venue on Sunday
* Rest rooms are located a few yards from the venue inside the Some Other Place Bar & Grill. Food and drinks are also available there.
* The venue features a 200 foot dirt run-up to a 6 foot tall ramp angled at roughly 40 degrees. The landing area is over 300 feet long.
* Gates open at 10 am with a $5 fee to get in, follow the signs to get to the rc bash area
* The jump contest is free and we have loads of entry prizes just for signing up, first come first served
* We will be randomly be giving away our review ARRMA Raider Xl buggy to one lucky jump contest participant
* There are three different long jump classes, with plaques to the top 3 in each class
* World record holder Paul Bludgen will be in attendance and jumping in the 8th scale class
* There is a free demo derby contest with a gift certificate to the winner
* A crawling competition is being held with 2 different classes ($5 entry fee)
* A raffle is being held to help raise money for the St Louis RC Freaks Club featuring one of the new Dromida 1/18th scale monster trucks
* Need to sell off some old rc gear or are looking to buy something on the cheap? Our event will also feature an rc swap meet. Just bring a table to sell or some cash to buy.
