Here’s some BIG news from Castle Creations. Pictured above is their new massive (about 3 pounds!) Mamba XL motor (bottom, obviously). Along with the motor is a whole new beefy Mamba XL ESC that’s built to handle 8S LiPos and all the amp draw that’s going to pass through it. Not only that, Castle is releasing a complete conversion kit [...]

Speed Passion has this prototype short course truck on display at IHobby, it’s a really unique vehicle at this point, only two of them exist in the world right now. Other than the name, Ananta 2SC, there really wasn’t much info available at this time but you can see it’s a mid-motor layout similar to the X-Factory SCX-60 or Venom [...]
The booth babes got a chance to get some wheel time in the Horizon/Electrix demo area. They managed to tear the place up pretty good, knocking down walls, and hitting people in the shins. Be sure to stop by our booth this weekend to get your pics with the ladies and check out all the bashing stuff we’ll be doing.
This is something cool at IHobby from Thunder Tiger, being distributed by the fine folks at Great Planes. I totally forgot to write down the info on this thing, but some of the stuff I can recall from the images is that it’s a relatively small, slight larger than a 1/18 scale car or truck. It’s also going to be [...]
Pro-Line has a new hex adapter for the front axles of the SC10, opening up all kinds of new wheel options for the truck. The units they are showing at IHobby are still the prototype, so price and ship date are still undetermined. When that info gets finalized we’ll pass it on to you.
Horizon is bringing back the 1/14 scale line of Carisma cars. As of right now they are distributing the four pictured above, clockwise from top-left: BMW M3 GT2, Mercedes Benz SLR GT, VW Golf GTI, and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R35. There’s a possibility of more coming soon, including the off-road buggy. All of these are fully RTR [...]
Pro-Line is the latest company to offer up an officially licensed Ford SVT Raptor body. This one will fit on the SC10 or Slash and will feature all the logos and emblems of the full scale truck, along with a specially designed number plate/wing combination piece that screws on to the body. The release date is as yet undetermined, but [...]
Have you ever been completely disappointed by your Slash’s stock steering system? Pro-Line has a solution in their new Steering Kit for the Traxxas Slash. It’s a strong bellcrank system that rides on a full set of ball bearings and features a built in servo saver. The price and release date are still undetermined at this point but it should [...]
Here’s something that’s been a long time coming. Pro-Line‘s showing off the new Street Fighter SC tires for short course trucks at IHobby. These are a directional street tread for all the bashers and parking lot racers out there. This tire is going to be available in the M2 compound for now, so it should have a good, long life [...]
If you’re making it out to the IHobby Show this year make sure to stop by and get your picture taken with our fabulous booth babes. They’ll be here all weekend. Brian "Big Pimpin'" Smolik hangin with the booth babes.
Speed Passion’s other RTR is a old skool, 2wd stadium truck. Like their other RTR, the RS2 comes with a brushless system and 2.4 GHz Carrera 2 radio in the box. It also features some heavy duty telescoping drive shafts, full ball bearings, and a fully adjustable wheelie bar out back. Again they’re targetting a Christmas-time launch and a target [...]
