Driven Pro Losi 1/24 Micro Drift Tire Review

Driven Productions made a name for themselves in the mini/micro community by offering affordable and innovative hop-ups. That was the reason we were stoked to get a set of their 1/24th Losi Micro Drift Tires and test them to see how they stacked up. Are they easy to install? Do they instantly turn your 24th scale Losi into a genuine drift machine? Are they worth the cash? Read on to find out…

The Scoop-

* While we mounted the tires on a Losi Micro SCT, we used wheels off of a Micro Rally. No, the tires will not fit on the SCT wheels.

* The install was very easy, even for a noob. You simply peel off the stock rubber tires, then press on the DP units. You might have to get out a hobby knife to trim off some of the old CA glue from the stock wheel, otherwise it literally took about 2 minutes per wheel to get them mounted. If so inclined you can add a few drops of CA to help secure the drift tires, but we didn’t, and we never noticed them slipping.

* The tires themselves are machined from a hard plastic and look well made.

* Once mounted up to our favorite Losi Micro, we took the tires for a test spin, literally. Yes indeed, with the DP drift tires our Micro Losi was sliding around corners like a proper drift machine should. They drifted like champs on carpet, while on pavement they still worked well.

Overall-

The DP Micro Drift Tires worked really well for us. They are simple to install and very affordable on the wallet. If you are looking to do some drift action with your Losi Micro we can highly recommend them to you.
