Body clips be gone! If you’re a fan of super-scale, super-clean body lines, you’re probably not a fan of traditional R/C body mounting clips. While some newer radio-controlled models are introducing new ways to keep their lids on, there are still several models that opt for the standard clip and post mounting method.

One such model is Losi’s 1/12-scale NASCAR Race Car which, despite its sleek and realistic body design, features exposed body posts and pins. This body mounting setup uses a locking disc that sits on the outside of the body and connects with a mount on the chassis. The mounts are positioned using the existing body mounting holes on the body and the chassis, so no additional drilling should be required during installation.

The body can then be released by turning the top lock disc and releasing it from the chassis mounts. It’s as simple as that. There is no need to carry around extra body clips (or worry about losing the ones that you have).
