Happy New Year! 2015 Will Be Amazing!

Out with the old, and in with the new! As you can see, we have a lot of big plans for 2015, and one of those involves a new look. While we all loved the old site, it was time for a modern upgrade and refresh. We have a lot of plans for some big projects, and the old page just wasn’t going to allow us to meet some of those goals.

Our awesome wholly average web guy, Jeff, along with yours truly (ok, it was mostly Jeff) have been working on the new design for months now, and have spent the last 16 hours behind the scenes working on the change over. I have to keep nudging Jeff to keep his eyes open, it’s pretty late. We don’t expect everything to work perfectly, and we can see it’s not. But we are working hard to get as much fixed as we can, as quickly as we can. So please keep all the hate mail to a minimum till we get things up and running proper.

So please pardon the dust, and welcome to the beginning of a great new year for Big Squid RC!

[Note from Jeff: This new site has been designed with mostly modern browsers and standards in mind. If you are using a recent version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Opera, there shouldn’t be any issues. If you are using Internet Explorer 10 or 11, again, you shouldn’t see anything wrong. If you are on IE 8 or 9, I know there’s still issues with those browsers, and fixes are coming soon, so just bear with it for a bit. It still won’t look as good as in a modern browser, but it will be usable. If you’re stuck on IE 7 or, Todd forbid, IE 6. My condolences. I’m sorry, but there’s just nothing I can do. If you’re visiting us from work and your IT crowd still have you stuck on IE 9 or older, you can try getting a gift certificate from this place, taking it to them, and asking nicely if they’ll install Firefox for you. I can’t promise it’ll work, but who doesn’t like bribes?]
