Industry Event – Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo

All new for 2017 is the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo. The expo will be held October 28th and 29th at the Denver Mart in Denver Colorado. The timing of the show puts it where the iHobby expo would have been traditionally, but is also optimal for creating an avenue to reach consumers just prior to the critical holiday season.

The 2017 Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo will focus on creating as many “hands on” opportunities for consumers as possible, as well as being a “selling show”, one where consumers can actually buy their favorite hobby gear in person. For manufacturers that are showing, the organizers are expecting a turnout around 15,000 people for the first year, which is in the neighborhood of the numbers that iHobby was pulling when it was in Chicago. Time will tell if that number is on target, but if anything it will give manufacturers a nice chance to spotlight new products heading into the holiday sales season. Surface rc, drones, rc airplanes, rc boats, trains, scale models, dolls, diecast, gaming, beads, slot cars, clay art and scrapbooking will all be a part of the new expo.
