Inside The Hangar At Horizon Hobby’s RC Fest 2018
Going inside the hangar at RC Fest’s Eli Field is a real treat for any hobbyist. Why is that? Because that is where they show off all the cool new products! This year the hangar at Eli Field was more filled than ever with nearly every imaginable rc product.
As spectators first walked into the hangar they were greeted by a giant Tamiya Mini 4WD race track. Tamiya was letting people race on their Mini 4WD track, which we must say was one of the coolest that we’ve seen. Just past Tamiya was where Horizon Hobby had all their newest products on display. From ECX bash trucks, to Axial rock crawlers, to the latest in drones and airplanes, Horizon did a great job of showing off how cool their products are.
Also inside the hangar was one of Horizon’s “try me” areas. Inside the hangar was a “try me” drone area where anyone could come up and try their hand at flying a real drone. The line to try a drone was steady all weekend long with first time flyers. Many of those first time pilots found out that flying is much easier than they expected it be.
While a big part of RC Fest is flying and driving, another big part is showing off some of the industry’s hottest products. After all, the people at Horizon have been working tirelessly for years coming up with new ways to improve our hobby, as well as new ways of putting smiles on our faces.
