Monster Truck Madness 16 – The Wall of Steel

Hey all, Doug here. My monster truck club wanted to do something special for the 4th of July, so here it is!

We thought it would be fun to recreate Dennis Anderson’s infamous 2001 “Wall of Steel” monster truck stunt. We like to call this the “Wall of Plastic”.

The 1/10 version of Mr. Destruction belongs to good buddy Habo Gutierrez, and is a modified Axial SMT10. He created the body out of the stock Grave Digger shell by being crafty with lexan scissors and vinyl.

Big thanks to everyone that helped set this up, especially Habo, Danny Maass and Colby Marshall for procuring the megaton of Goodwill store-find toy cars to use as well as laying it out in general. Thanks to Bob for putting the video together.
