Monster Truck Madness – 2024 BIGFOOT Open House Recap

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!

I am still in recovery mode from the 2024 BIGFOOT Open House that took place last weekend. It was HOT, but it was a heck of a time!

Thousands of monster truck fans made the trip out to Pacific, MO to enjoy a day of monster trucking in the sun. The BIGFOOT crew put on a great show, the highlights of which were the post-restoration debuts of the original Snake-Bite (BIGFOOT #4) and BIGFOOT Ranger.

There were also monster truck exhibitions throughout the day, with both old school and modern monsters putting on car crushes.

I took part in helping the Trigger King R/C crew with their annual BIGFOOT Open House r/c monster truck race! It’s always fun getting to put on a show for the crowd, many of whom it may be their first ever exposure to hobby grade r/c’s!

Congrats to the winners of each class of r/c racing!

Mike Bufka of Brass Ring Fab won the Show-N-Shine competition with his full-on tube chassis replica of Tail Gator.

Chris Parrish of Mean Duck R/C took the Outlaw Retro Clod racing win in Bearfoot.

JConcepts head honcho Jason Ruona went on win Sport Modified racing in his Charlie’s Angels BIGFOOT.

Ron Judd won Pro Modified racing with Bad Habit.

The day ended with monster truck freestyle, which was won by Alex Delima in Menace (I don’t have a photo-sorry!)

Big shout-out to JConcepts and Traxxas for attending as well. If you want to see some killer photo galleries of the event, check-out the JConcepts gallery here! We will be posting full video coverage of the event on the Trigger King R/C YouTube page as well over the next couple weeks!

With Open House now behind us, next week I’ll be back to posting my usual nonsense!

Until next time, keep it on all 4’s!
