Monster Truck Madness – New JConcepts Ford Body on the way
Hey gang and Happy Thursday to you all!
One of the guys I race with, who is also JConcepts team driver, showed up to our race in early April sporting a very slick looking Sudden Impact livery on a mysterious 90’s Ford truck body.
Specifically, a 1997 Ford. This was a popular getup with full size monsters in the late 90’s, probably made most famous by the BIGFOOT team sporting the iconic pink & teal lightning bolt look.
You can see the look I’m talking about in the video above.
It’s great to see this style in modern r/c form, as it’s been awhile since it was readily available. Parma had this body in their inventory for a long time, but it was a much shorter wheelbase layout that most modern solid axle r/c monsters.
I am not sure the exact wheelbase of this body, but it looks to have wheel wells that can easily be cut to accomadate different lengths of trucks and not look goofy. I actually set it on my new TLR tuned LMT and it looks pretty good. Given how looooong that truck’s wheelbase is, it made me very happy. So happy that as soon as the body is released, I am immediately purchasing and painting one to use on my own truck.
You can expect an official release any day now, as I’ve seen pics of them floating around social media for the last couple weeks! Looking forward to getting my hands on one as soon as I can!
Alright folks, that’s it for this week. Until next time, keep it on all 4’s!
