Monster Truck Madness – Old School Goodness
I’m one of those people that constantly wishes I could get off of Facebook because I absolutely hate reading crazy political conspiracies posted shared by someone’s uncle, but I also know I’ll never be able to get off it since they effectively replaced message boards with their group pages many years ago. Whether it’s a classic pulling group where someone posts rare pictures of some wild tractor their Grandpa built in the 1970’s or the various R/C groups I frequent full of cool builds, I know that the good outweighs the bad.
I want to share some recently found “good”, which comes via the Tamiya Clodbuster Owners Society Facebook group.
This amazing Clod belongs to Cole Comensky. It’s a replica of the classic Giant monster truck, and this is about as sharp an old school build as you’ll find.
This truck features a beautiful body done up by the Paint Factory, and is complete with an actual mechanical tilt hood! And if that isn’t the highlight, the amazing gold anodized JPS aluminum axles surely are!
For those of you who are unaware, JPS was a small company that used to build Clod hop-up parts. They were expensive parts back in the day…and now, due to their rarity and quality, they are worth a small fortune. Especially the axles.
So yes, Cole’s Clod here is worth a pretty penny. Those axles alone are worth more than many vehicles!
That’s all I got for you this week. I just wanted to share a build that made me smile! Hope you all enjoy seeing it as much as I do!
