Monster Truck Madness – Sending It Over a Camper
Leaving a camper around monster trucks is never a good idea, whether 1/10 or full size.
My nephew and his buddies rescued an old pick-up bed camper awhile back, and they left it next to our r/c monster truck track on a trailer. I’m sure they thought it was a safe place to put it. Think again!
As soon as we arrived last race day and saw it sitting there, someone immediately said “Let’s wheel it on the track and jump that b****.” Jump that b**** we did.
The two trucks that made the journey are both similarly set-up heavily modified Tamiya Clod Busters. Both the Bigfoot Racer (built and driven by Bob C.) and Grave Digger (built and driven by Josh Rhodes) sport ACRC chassis, Graupner 6.5 motors at each axle and a host of other upgrades.
I’ve mentioned it before, but driving a true mod Clod is a very unique experience in the world of r/c as few vehicles can boast the insane power to weight ratio of twin brushless….all with little torque twist. They are so much fun!
Check out the video below to see how they fared. Oh yeah and Chad….sorry dude but this is why you never leave a camper near a place where monster trucks roam!
