Novak showing off Ballistic 8 motors for 1/8 scale electric
The boys in orange have started loosening the cap on info about their new 1/8 brushless system. Today Novak are showing off two of the motors designed specifically for the Kinetic 4S ESC. The Ballistic 8 and Ballistic 8L both feature 4 pole magnets, 12 slot hand-wound stators, a rebuildable sensored design, and mechanical timing adjustment. The main difference between them is the length of the can, with the 8L stretching an extra 5.5mm over the 8, offering a bit more torque. The output shaft is a beefy 5mm x 18mm that is compatible with Novak’s line of Mod 1 and 32-pitch pinions. The motors will be available in several winds and will be compatible with sensored and sensorless ESCs.
There is a promise of more info coming soon, but check out the Novak website for what they’re offering now.
