Everyone needs a battery charger. Whether or not you are into RC, you probably have some need to recharge
some AA or AAA batteries! Besides RC, I have a lot of electronic equipment, and I'm always in need of some fresh
batteries, either for a camera, or a remote, or now for my XBOX 360 controller! That thing eats batteries for lunch!
Needless to say, I have owned my share of chargers. Being a recent fan of the new Venom 2400NiMH batteries, it seems to make sense
to give their charger a try.
First I'd like to thank Venom for making a plastic package that's actually easy to open! I hate when I get packaging that requires me to find
my knife or scissors! They actually put a nice pre-cut opening on the back! If you are a manufacturer and are reading this,
please take a look at their packaging, and do the same.
One nice thing about the charger, is that it's small! It's probably 1/2 the size of my last charger, and it does not come with a big
transformer plug either, so it fits well inside my tool box! The charger will do NiMH or NiCD batteries, and it is smart enough
to figure out which is which. My old charger, had a switch on it that you had to set for each type.
It has all sorts of other 'built in' features. It can do AA, or AAA. It has built in Auto-Cut Off times for all types of batteries,
short circuit protection, and a temperature sensor! I don't know of another charger that has all that built into it.
It's got a nice set of LED's that change colors based on what's going on. So they are RED for charging, GREEN for charged, and BLINKING if there is a problem.
I have been using it for a while now, and so far no complaints. If you are looking at getting a charger, consider picking this one up!
