Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo – HRP Distributing Booth

The second booth that the BigSquidRC Bash Crew stopped at during the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo was HRP Distributing. HRP, also known as Hobby Recreation Products, had a large booth and a bunch of new gear at the show.

With scale crawling as hot as it is right now, HRP had a bunch of new scale accessories on display. HRP has a new line-up of LED light bars, as well as roof racks, for scale crawlers. The units are heavy on scale realism and have a variety of styles to suit your build. But wait, there’s more! The new accessory line-up also included items like shovels, gas cans, and jacks.

Also new from HRP was a slew of aluminum upgrades for the Traxxas Slash 4×4 and the Yeti XL. These were designed to be much beefier than the stock parts, while also boosting the bling factor of your rig. Both sets of hop-ups will be available in a multitude of colors.

HRP isn’t just a surface company, in fact they are huge in the drone scene as well. The new Rage Stinger 240 drone was on display and was attracting a lot of attention, including ours. The Stinger 240 is a budget minded FPV quad that is packed with popular features. Also, with “pocket drones” becoming a larger section of the drone market every day, HRP had their new Rage Orbit on display. The Orbit fits right in your pocket for easy transport, then expands before flying. Priced at just $69, we can see it being under a lot of Christmas trees this winter.
