Site Hacked.. Don’t Panic

I awoke this morning to a phone call… ‘The site has been hacked!’ This is one of those things that can really sink the pit of your stomach. There are 10’s of thousands of files that keep the site running, and immediately, going through my head, when was the last backup, what files were backed up, what about our latest news, etc…

Luckily there was no major damage. The hackers replaced every index file and a few other minor things. We have re-installed all the software, and replaced the damaged files. The hackers didn’t just single us out. They hit our entire ISP. The people we pay the big bucks to, to keep our stuff up and running and safe. Their phone number has been busy for the last few hours.. lol. Basically, anyone with a webserver running at this ISP got nailed.

We are doing a lot of work here behind the scenes to get things restored and back to normal. If anyone sees ANYTHING out of place after reading this message, please email me, because I believe as of the moment of this posting, all public stuff should be fixed.

No personal information has been compromised. It looks like is was a quick hit and run.
