THE Cub Report- Bitter Sweet Symphony
Well hello there fellow rc enthusiast, welcome to THE Cub Report. The entire staff at BigSquidRC would like to thank you for dropping by and for giving us a click. Here is some news and notes from the world of rc last week...
First up, our Rage RC RZX review. I was able to log a number of packs with the RZX and found it to be great fun in the backyard. Its 1/6 size is perfect for a wide open backyard. Ya gotta love those larger 1/6 wheels/tires/wheelbase that make it a beast in grass, the RZX loved to glide across taller grass while ignoring smaller bumps and ruts. And while it comes in at a sub $500 price point, I drove our test unit like a lunatic and it didn’t break. Oh ya, the RZX also sports a “hybrid” look. It has some futuristic styling cues on the outside, but a highly detailed (and ABS plastic) seat area and dash.
Also in the news is Tekno with the ET410 truggy. Over the years Tekno has done a fantastic job of developing a brand name that is synonymous with durability and longevity. That’s why many bashers choose Tekno race vehicles to bash with. The new ET410 is a 1/10th scaled truggy that should be an EPIC bash machine after bolting on some Badlands and big BL/LiPo power. We can’t wait to check this one out in the near future.
Ya know, the folks at ARRMA have been quiet for a while but last week they announced BLX brushless power for the 4×4 Granite and Senton. The 4×4 versions of the Granite and Senton are more introductory level trucks, but now with brushless power they should really be capable of some serious stunting. Look for full reviews on both trucks right here on our front page in the very near future. We also hear rumor of something else big coming from ARRMA, perhaps even for the X-Mas buying season, for now we have our fingers crossed…
What’s going on with Futaba? I think their Facebook Live Video from last week pretty much answered all the questions. Futaba has set up shop in Alabama and will be servicing consumers and dealers from that site. It has been a wild ride for Futaba here in the states the last year or so, we hope things go smoothly in their new uber looking location.
So there ya have it for this week folks. Thanks for reading and as always, get out and support your local hobby shops and bash spots when ya can.
