THE Cub Report – Kick’n It Jackie Chan

Well hey there, thanks for finding us. Why not strap in for yet another funtabulous edition of THE Cub Report?

Hey, I promise not to talk too much about the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo this week, but there is some pretty huge news for the event. Traxxas is IN! That is great to hear as they will be bringing it Traxxas style with a huge booth, demo area, etc! If you are a consumer and have never attended an rc industry show before, or if you have never had a chance to meet the guys from Traxxas in person, mark your calendar for Oct. 28-29 in beautiful Denver, Colorado.

Who else is in for Denver on the manufacturer side of things? Our friends from Hobby Recreation Products will also be there in full force. The HRP crew will be showing off the latest from Cross RC, G-Made, Carisma, Savox, DHK, HPI, etc. Last year the HRP crew had a big show with a bunch of new products and we expect them to be showing off even more new stuff this year.

There are more names to come with the Denver show this year and I will post as more as they sign on-board. Of course BigSquidRC will be there with our booth babes and demo team, then the following week we’ll be in Vegas (with a LOT of people from the rc biz) for SEMA. The SEMA show is turning into a mini-rc show with a bunch of rc companies showing this year. As the scale scene has gotten larger, SEMA has gotten more important as rc companies reach out for exclusive licensing agreements. Sadly SEMA in an industry only event, but it is so full with just dealers/manufacturers that there simply isn’t any room left for the masses. Sigh.

On a different note…

Our BSRC Bash Crew took in all the sights and sounds from the huge ABT charity event over the weekend and will be posting an event report in the next couple days. My buddy Jimmy D. gave me a personal invite to check out ABT and I was not disappointed. ABT is a much different kind of store that is pretty hard to explain, but I can’t wait to get back and spend more time (and money!!!) there. Check them out Here, but their website just doesn’t do the place any justice.

OK, I gotta get back to destroying some rc cars here. Have a fantastic week, and get out and support your local hobby shops and bash spots when ya can.
