THE Cub Report – The Epitome Of A Dichotomy

Heyyyyyyy there! Thanks for clicking over to BigSquidRC and THE Cub Report. As we close another week in the world of rc, we certainly have a HUGE one to look forward to. Shall we get right down to it? Of course my friends…

What’s the biggest news this week? That would be a yet-to-be-announced vehicle from the crew at Losi. The Losi crew has put out a couple teasers that have gotten some buzz going on social media, but there is a LOT more media coverage to come later in the week. I can’t say anything about it at this point (read- until Thurs), but the Horizon Hobby crew is pushing it as the biggest release of 2018, and from the looks of it, they might very well be right. Any which way, look for full details on Thursday, plus more coverage immediately afterwards from testing, and from even more from the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo.

Which brings me to… The Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo that kicks off this Thursday! OK, so Thursday and Friday are “dealer only” days, but Saturday and Sunday are aimed right at YOU, yes YOU, Mr RC Hobbyist! The Rocky Mountain show is open to the public this Saturday and Sunday, and they even have an area where you can buy and sell some of your old rc gear (you need to get pre-registered for this). I expect several big new product announcements from Denver, or if not Denver, then a few days afterwards at the SEMA Show in Vegas. Either way, expect to see some cool new gear from our upcoming Denver show coverage, and from our coverage of SEMA 2018.

I know a lot of you guys are gnar-core into the hobby, but haven’t made it to one of our industry’s trade shows before. If you really want to be able to say “I’ve been there, done that, with EVERYTHING in rc!!!” that means you really should load up and make the show. You’ll get to see and talk to all the big names in our industry, plus you never know what type of friends that you’ll make while walking the show. This year HRP/G-Made/Savox/Racers Edge/etc will be showing off a large booth, just like the folks from Traxxas, and Horizon Hobby/Losi/ECX/Axial Racing/Spektrum/etc. There are also numerous other rc manufacturers signed up for the show, I know our crew is absolutely biting at the bit to get on the show floor and check things out.

Oh and finally, I want to personally invite you to drop by our BigSquidRC booth at the Rocky Mountain show. We’ll have tons of free stickers, some of the hottest new trucks on the market, plus the ever-so-pretty BigSquidRC Spokes-models. Drop by our booth just to talk shop, pick up some free stickers, or get a picture to remember the show by with one of our Booth Babes! Oh and, while I am not big on talking to people on the net, I would love to spend some time with YOU in person, whether it be talking about rc, motocross/SX, or F1. I am going there to have the best time EVA, I hope you go and have a spectacular time as well. 🙂
