Unboxing The Vaterra 1972 Chevrolet K10 Ascender
Shipping right now to a hobby shop near you is the Vaterra 1972 Chevrolet K10 Pickup Ascender RTR. The K10 has a customized look and rides on Vaterra’s very capable Ascender chassis. If you have been thinking about putting one in your rc garage, we are posting unboxing pictures to show what it looks like when you crack the box open.
As you can see by the pictures, Vaterra went to great lengths to give the K10 a cool scale look. It comes with a high detailed polycarbonate body that features a chrome coated plastic grill. The rear roll cage also looks scale appropriate, especially with its stamped aluminum inserts. The wheels and tires also hit the mark looking like units that can be found on any number of full sized off-road rigs.
For electronics, a Spektrum DX2E is the included controller while a waterproof Dynamite brushed power system is used to get over those tough rock sections. We won’t go any further as our full review will be going up in the near future, but the sharp looking K10 is street priced at $399 and you can get more details over on Vaterra’s Website.
