Usukani RWD shaft conversion for the Sakura D4 drifter

As predicted the 3Racing Sakura D4 has become the hot new platform for all of the aftermarket companies. One promising new company I have been following just showed a shaft drive conversion for the RWD version of the car that looks very promising.

Usukani burst on to the drift scene recently with mods for some of the popular MST drifters. Their machining and quality look to be top notch and that is the opinion of some of the industry insiders who have experience with their products.

This piece looks to incorporate the rear bulkhead and motor mount in one and join them together with a bevel gear system that replaces the belt and pulleys all together. This setup should be more efficient and eliminate any belt tension issues.

The shaft conversion for the D4 is still in pre-production but from the look of the pics it just about ready for release. No word on when that is but we will keep an eye out.
